• Darker skin types
• Internal pacemaker/defibrillator
• Permanent implants in area to be treated
• Use of Accutane in the previous six months
• Pregnant or nursing
• History of skin disorders such as keloid scarring, abnormal wound healing, as well as very dry and fragile skin
• A history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area.
• Any active condition in the treatment areas such as open sores, infection, psoriasis, eczema or rash, as well as excessively/fresh tanned skin
• Any surgical, invasive, or ablative procedures in the treatment are in the last three months or incomplete healing
• Tattoos or permanent makeup in the area to be treated
• Sun tanning, spray tan, self-tanning lotion or tanning bed in the past two weeks

What can I expect the day of my treatment?

• Most treatments depending on area take approximately 1 hour. The area to be treated is numbed with a topical numbing medication for 15 minutes. After Lumecca is completed you will be able to immediately apply sunscreen and makeup if desired.
