The young woman in this video came to our office with concerns of premature deep wrinkles on her neck, in hopes we could help her restore her youthful looking neck.

She was treated with a hyaluronic acid filler to fill the horizontal lines on her neck, know as “tech neck” wrinkles. To our patient’s satisfaction, her youthful neck appearance was restored to match her biological age, she was thrilled!

Tech neck is a real condition that affects everyone using handheld electronic devices.

Most people don’t notice how much time they spend looking down at their smartphones and tablets until one day they’re shocked to see deep wrinkles covering their necks, making them look older than they’re.

The good news is that tech neck wrinkles are treatable. Depending on the severity, the lines can be smoothed out by fillers, RF micro-needling, micro-Botox, Autologous Growth Factor injections, lasers, and/or medical grade peels & skincare products.

The best way to prevent tech neck condition is to quit the habit of looking down at electronics. This means positioning a laptop on elevated surfaces, holding smartphones up to the eye level when texting, and being mindful of neck position and posture at all times.

If looking down at electronics is something you can’t avoid, be sure to be proactive in treating tech neck wrinkles while non surgical intervention is still possible.
