How common is bruising around the eyes after filler?

Bruising in the tear trough area is common. We can minimize bruising by stopping all blood thinners 7 days beforehand, avoiding alcohol the night before, and starting Arnica the day before. Also we will offer as a courtesy, a spot treatment of the IPL on a bruise, if one does occur, to lessen the bruise and speed up the healing time.

What makeup do you recommend to cover bruising after filler?

Any concealer can be used to cover bruising. Jane Iredale is a line that has a great concealer kit for covering bruising.
