Maria Lopez Rodriguez, MA

Summer was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA and moved to South Lake Tahoe in 2018, when she decided to follow her passion for skincare and skin health. She graduated from the Milan Institute of Cosmetology in Reno, Nevada in 2021 with her Cosmetology license. Summer loves all things related to skin and skin health, anti aging and prevention and is constantly learning and inspired by the science of active skin care products and modalities that can be used to completely transform any skin concerns into beautiful and radiant skin. 

She loves living in the mountainous area of Tahoe and enjoys hiking, snowboarding and doing anything outside with her boyfriend, two dogs and her lizard. Not only is she obsessed with skincare, but also loves her cactus and houseplants. 

Skyler's interest in the beauty industry started at a young age and she received her Cosmetology license in 2008. Spending most of her career in Cosmetic Sales and specializing in Wedding/Photography Makeup, she found her passion for educating others on skin care and the importance of ingredients. Knowing there was more to be offered in helping with skin transformations, she stepped into her first Medical Aesthetics role in 2017. This allowed her to expand on the patient experience by providing exceptional and personalized patient care. She finds joy in connecting with others and assisting them in reaching their aesthetic needs.

Skyler lives in Midtown and enjoys spending time at local events, farmer's markets and Sacramento Kings Games. You will also find her traveling, treating herself to spa services, relaxing with her cat Stella and tending to her plants.

Joni received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Jose State University in 2018. At the start of her nursing career in the ICU, it was quickly recognized that her top priorities were providing her patients with comfort, safety and precision. After receiving aesthetic treatments herself, Joni went on to gain experience in aesthetic medicine and medical dermatology. She loves the positive impact aesthetic medicine provides and with her gentle approach, her patients feel cared for and refreshed. She finds such joy in them feeling like the best versions of themselves and bringing out their inner confidence.

In her spare time, Joni enjoys working on art projects and spending time outdoors hiking with her husband and their fur baby Opal.

Albina obtained a degree in media communications 15 years ago. She also has a background in journalism, radio, health, and environmental media. Her lifelong passion and commitment is to serve people by connecting them through the sharing and exchanging of information. Albina believes that all communication should not only educate, but should also build relationships and bring people closer. This is why she loves being part of the R+H family, whose mission is to serve and educate patients while building personal connections with them.

Alicia was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, California. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy. In 2009 she received her Physician Assistant degree from UC Davis.

She began her aesthetic medicine career in 2012 as a Physician Assistant in a medical spa and laser center in La Jolla, California, where she gained experience and a passion for aesthetic medicine.

In 2014 she started working with a large neurology practice in San Diego as the lead Physician Assistant for their headache center. As a migraineur herself, Alicia is passionate about treating migraine sufferers. She knows how the condition can impact, and even disable, one’s life. During this time she became an expert injector of Botox.

In 2019 Alicia and her family moved to Danville, California and she joined Blackhawk Plastic Surgery to develop and manage their migraine center. In addition, Alicia treated patients in the plastic surgery center using cosmetic Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers, and cosmetic laser treatments.

Alicia, her husband, and two young girls moved back to South Lake Tahoe in 2020 and are enjoying life in the mountains. She spends her free time skiing, boating, doing Pilates and chasing her daughters, Audrey and Piper.

She is thrilled to join the R+H team and bring her expert injector skills and aesthetic medicine experience and passion to her hometown community of South Lake Tahoe.

Katie is a Registered Nurse with over 7 years of experience in the medical surgical unit and urgent care. She is a strong patient advocate who enjoys making her patients feel empowered and confident. Her passion for aesthetics provided her an opportunity to work at R+H Aesthetic Medicine, where she strives to bring out each patient’s inner confidence by enhancing their own natural features.

Katie is also a wife and mother. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, working on interior design and doing DIY remodeling of her home, and decorationg for events.

Heidi graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with High Honors in 1997. She then attended the Physician Assistant Program at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Medicine, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2001.

Heidi began her career in NYC, at Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Center's Emergency Department, the main receiving trauma center for the 9/11 disaster, where she practiced for 2 years before transitioning to the specialty of orthopedic surgery. She then worked at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC, specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement surgery, where she had the opportunity to be a part of the medical staff for NFL, NBA, and college sports teams. She was also honored to be a guest instructor at the Cornell Medical School Physician Assistant Program.

In 2010, Heidi relocated to Santa Monica, CA, and joined a private orthopedic practice specializing in spine surgery. Around this time, she had her first Botox treatment, and her love for aesthetic medicine was born! Wanting to share with others the sense of rejuvenation and refreshed confidence that she had experienced following her own treatment, her journey as an aesthetic Physician Assistant began. Heidi was lucky enough to join a growing medical spa in the Los Angeles area, Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center. She continued to work in both aesthetics and orthopedic surgery until relocating to Rocklin, California in 2018. In 2019, following her passion and love for aesthetics, she and her husband, Dr Rei Young, opened R+H Aesthetic Medicine.

Today, Heidi continues to combine her love of medicine with the ability to bring out the inner beauty in her patients at R+H. She is a perfectionist with a conservative approach and prides herself on helping her patients become the best version of themselves. Her many years of surgical experience has taught her the importance of symmetry and precision, and this is conveyed in her aesthetic practice. She takes her time with her patients, listening to and hearing their concerns while formulating a specialized plan to help them age beautifully and slowly.

When Heidi is not at R+H, she enjoys spending family time with her husband and two boys in Lake Tahoe, where she grew up. They love all seasons, spending summers at the lake and winters on the mountain. True to her sense of adventure, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, yoga, and outdoor running. Some of her other loves include cooking, baking and wine.

Dr Rei Young earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Occidental College, Los Angeles, in 1994, and then attended Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2005. He completed a residency in Family Medicine at Valley Family Medicine Residency of Modesto, a UC Davis Affiliate, in 2009. After receiving his Board Certification in Family Medicine, he served as Emergency Room Physician and Medical Director of Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale, California from 2009-2016. He has also been a Sutter Health Urgent Care Physician from 2015 to present.

Dr Young enjoyed the excitement of saving lives in the ER, and he now enjoys changing the lives of the patients at R+H Aesthetic Medicine! While working in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care, he always loved performing procedures, such as suturing complex facial lacerations. Today, he uses this same meticulous approach and focus on optimal patient outcomes in aesthetic medicine. Patients love Dr Young and quickly connect with him because of his friendly, kind, genuine, and patient nature. His primary concern is the comfort and safety of his patients, and he is constantly updating his skills and knowledge of advancing technology to ensure his patients are well cared-for.

Dr Young loves being able to work side by side with his wife, Heidi, and going home to their two boys. When not at R+H, he enjoys working out, skiing, and golfing.
